Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Municipal police have detained four people in the center of Playa del Carmen for the crime of narcotics possession.
Police report the arrest of the four while during a vehicle inspection, the smell of marijuana was detected inside the vehicle. The four were asked to step out of the vehicle while police investigated.
A narcotics dog was on site for the inspection, marking the vehicle as positive for drugs. Inside, police found 33 bags of cocaine in addition to three bags of marijuana, five boxes of LSD, 26 bags of crack and five bags with a crystalline substance as well as 75 pills and capsules.
Due to the presence of narcotics, the four were taken into police custody and transferred for a meeting with the State Attorney General’s Office.
