Cozumel, Q.R. — Two people who were seen handling bags of narcotics on a Cozumel street landed themselves in jail. On Sunday, elements of the Municipal Police arrested two people who were transporting various prohibited substances and cash.
They were spotted by officers at 2:14 a.m. on 12th Street between 23 and 21 of the San Miguel II neighborhood. It was the woman police saw handeling bags of cocaine powder as she handed them to the male she was with.
A failed attempt to flee the area when they saw police lead to a search. Arresting officers reported finding more than 20 bags of various cocaine products along with
of 6,739 pesos and $53 US dollars.
Jailed was a 36-year-old woman and her 28-year-old male companion.
