Cozumel, Q.R. — A man was shot and killed Friday night on a Cozumel street outside his home. The shooting was captured on private security cameras that showed the young man walking out of his house toward his motorcycle when, at that same moment, a motorcycle carrying two subjects arrived.
The passenger on the bike began firing, hitting the man who fell to the street.
The shooting happened on 120th Avenue and First Street South in the Juan Bautista neighborhood. The deceased has been identified as Alex “N”.
Neighbors reported the 9:30 p.m. shooting to police who arrived around the same time as an ambulance. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Cozumel police have not announced the arrests of any suspects. A motive for the shooting is unknown.
