Cancun, Q.R. — One dead and one seriously injured was what Cancun police arrived to find late Thursday night. The highway accident outside the city of Cancun that involved three vehicles also left four kids with minor injuries.
The initial accident was between a motorcycle and small cargo truck. Both of them collided on the dark highway, sending the truck into the ditch and the driver off the motorcycle and onto the wet pavement.
While the injured motorcyclist was laying on the highway, he was run over by an oncoming van. The driver of the van ran over the injured man and the bike, which was also laying across the highway lane.
The male driver of the bike was pronounced on scene. The female driver of the van was taken to hospital in serious condition. The four kids from inside the van were treated by paramedics for minor injuries.
