Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — Nobody was reported with anything more than minor injuries in a Sunday highway accident in Puerto Morelos. Police were called to the scene of the bridge where the driver of a car ended up rolling.
The single-vehicle accident happened at the bottom of the overpass heading toward Cancun. It is not known what caused the driver to lose control and slam into a metal pole before rolling the car.
At least three people were inside the four-door car at the time of the accident. Only minor injuries were reported by paramedics. It was the occupants from the car who called for police assistance. National Guard, firemen and Civil Protection of Puerto Morelos responded to the report.
Vehicular traffic was affected for more than an hour until the wrecked vehicle was removed by a tow truck.
