Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A man who was struck by a truck in busy a Playa del Carmen intersection Saturday was killed instantly from the impact.
After hitting the pedestrian, the driver of the bus continued to drive since he did not notice he had hit the man. The accident was witnessed by an on-duty patrol car. The police unit was quick to pull over the driver of the bus.
The accident happened Saturday morning at 11:20 at the city’s heavily busy intersection of Boulevard Playa del Carmen with Arco Vial Arch Sur. The pedestrian, believed to be between 55 and 60 years old, was stuck by the passing vehicle which resulted in him being projected several meters on the roadway.
Paramedics arrived, but the man had already passed away. He was pronounced on scene.
