Human remains found in ‘narco’ grave during random search

José María Morelos, Q.R. — Human remains were found during a random jungle search for missing persons. Initially, the Fiscalía General del Estado (FGE) of Quintana Roo reported finding seven bones during the Saturday search.

However, three more have emerged in what is being referred to as a ‘narco’ gravesite. The human remains were located in a jungle area of Los Gavilanes, a community in the municipality of José María Morelos.

The ongoing searches for those missing is a coordinated effort between personnel from the State Commission for the Search for Persons of the State of Quintana Roo (CEBPQRoo), the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) and the Coordination Group for the Construction of Peace and Security.
