Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Four people managed to get away with more than 100,000 peso after robbing an OXXO in La Guadalupana.
Staff of the OXXO were locked up in a cold room by the four armed thieves while they used a torch blower to gain access to the store’s on-site cash that was stored in a safe. Staff say the robbery happened during the morning hours.
The four got away with 129,000 peso in cash. Municipal Police were called, however, the men had already escaped.
