Xul-Ha, Q.R. — A former agent of the now defunct State Judicial Police was killed when the vehicle in which he was driving was intercepted and shot.
The vehicle was hit numerous times by gunmen in a dark suburban which caused the driver to lose control and flip the car as he drove along the Xulha-Bacalar highway in the municipality of Othón P. Blanco . Inside, the driver, Eulogio A.V., his wife and 14-year-old daughter were killed.
The State Attorney General’s Office has begun an investigation into the triple execution that occurred Sunday around 3:30 p.m. in the southern area of the state. The police report details the car was targeted and hit dozens of times. They reported lifting more than 30 high-caliber 223 casings around the scene.
Investigative Police were on site to collect evidence. A Red Code was issued, however there were no arrests.
