Cancun, Q.R. — Five people were left injured in a two-taxi collision in SM 231 of Cancun Tuesday night. The accident happened at 7:40 p.m. along 41st Street causing neighbors to rush out to help the injured.
A total of five people were taken to area hospitals by ambulances after being treated on site. Transit police also arrived to determine cause and damages. There were no details released about the accident, only that it involved two drivers belonging to the Andrés Quintana Roo Taxi Drivers Union. Some of the injured were passengers.
