International Airport of Querétaro, State of Querétaro — Federal police at the Querétaro International Airport have intercepted a package containing more than 600 rounds of ammunition bound for Cancun.
According to a report from la Secretaría de Seguridad y Protección Ciudadana, federal police from the División de Seguridad Regional discovered the package during a routine x-ray. They say that when ran through x-ray, the package contained irregular shapes inside.
The three packages were opened for inspection by federal police who reported that inside each package was a speaker filled with gun ammunition. In total, they report finding 668 cartridges hidden wrapped inside the speakers.
The package, which had left from Tamaulipas, was bound for Cancun. Police have placed the packages with the Federal Public Ministry Agent for follow-up.
