Electrocuted man found in Cozumel subdivision

Cozumel, Q.R. — A man was found electrocuted in a subdivision of Cozumel after he reportedly climbed a ladder and made contact with the high voltage electric wires.

Paramedics were called by nearby neighbors to Felix Gonzalez 2 subdivision which is filled with construction lots where they found the man lying on the ground.

They pronounced the man on site. He has been identified as Antonio C. P.

Members of the General State Prosecutor’s Office also responded to the call along the ministerial police.

Although electricity theft through clandestine wires is a common problem for CFE, it was not made clear if the man was a CFE worker or not.
