Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — The driver of a car that slammed into a highway pole was lucky to walk away. On Friday, motorists traveling south of Playa del Carmen reported the 6:00 a.m. accident which happened near the police security filter.
Police and Civil Protection arrived along with an ambulance, however, the 25-year-old driver only suffered minor injuries. His vehicle, which hit the pole at highway speed head on, was a write off.
