Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — The driver of a pickup truck was transferred to hospital after hitting a roadside sign. Two of his passengers were evaluated on site for their minor injuries.
Paramedics and Civil Protection personnel responded to the report of the single vehicle accident Wednesday night. It was around 11:30 p.m. when witnesses saw the driver lose control of his old-model pickup and slam into a highway sign.
The bed of the Yucatan-plated truck became completely dislodged from the back of the vehicle during impact. Witnesses claimed the driver of the truck was speeding when he lost control.
