Cancun, Q.R. — An Isla Mujeres taxi driver left his unit abandoned Friday morning after rolling it in Cancun. The taxi was reported to police by other motorists at 7:39 a.m. who said the driver lost control while taking a corner and slammed into a power pole.
The high rate of speed landed the compact car on its roof. Police located the badly damaged vehicle, which was overturned partly in highway brush. The other end of the car was hung up on concrete, sticking out into a lane.
Police called a tow truck to remove the crashed unit.
