Mexico City, Mexico — The Government of Mexico has handed over a man wanted in Washington. The suspect was delivered to U.S. federal agents on an outstanding warrant for drug-related offenses and criminal association.
Federal marshals met Juan “A” at the Mexico City International Airport from where he was returned to U.S. soil. According to the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) of Mexico, he was wanted by the Federal District Court of Columbia.
“Juan “A” is a high-ranking member of a drug trafficking organization that was responsible for introducing drugs for distribution into United States territory,” the FGR reported.
Juan “A” was held for extradition purposes after being arrested in Zapopan, Jalisco, in 2021. After a request, the Government of Mexico granted the extradition of the defendant to the Government of the United States.
