Cozumel, Q.R. — The search of a Cozumel home by the Attorney General’s Office located four large coolers of narcotics. Police entered the home in the El Encanto subdivision where they found and seized the stash.
The State Attorney General’s Office reports the seizure at 8:45 p.m. adding that the home is managed by Darwin N from Valladolid and Carlos N from Merida.
According to reports, the people who manage the home arrive every three months and are believed responsible for hiring out others to create and distribute message threats around Cozumel. The threatening messages have been found aimed toward government officials.
The Prosecutor’s Office says the purpose of the threats is to destabilize the municipality by those linked to criminal activity.
