José María Morelos, Q.R. — Wheelchairs and other means of mobility support have been delivered free of charge to the disabled. José María Morelos Mayor Erik Borges Yam, said the delivery was made in collaboration with the municipal DIF.
Mrs. Marina Balam Cauich, President of the municipal Desarrollo Integral de la Familia (DIF), in conjunction with the Quintana Roo Public Charity, has delivered wheelchairs and mobile devices in the communities of Cafetalito, Kankabchén and Saczuquil in the southern municipality of José María Morelos.
They were given to people with disabilities and older adults who were found to be in need of assistance.
Yam said the mobility items were delivered to improve the quality of lives of the inhabitants and ensure that no one is left behind.
In addition to the delivery of wheelchairs and mobile devices, City Hall and DIF have implemented various programs and actions aimed at improving the quality of life of the people of Morelos with free medical days, providing free medical care and services basic health services to rural communities.
The municipal president Erik Borges Yam has reaffirmed his commitment to continue working as a team with DIF and other government bodies, to continue implementing actions that improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of José María Morelos by building a more inclusive, equitable and prosperous municipality.
