Cancun, Q.R. — On Tuesday, a member of the Andrés Quintana Roo Taxi Union of Cancun was arrested by elements of the Quintana Roo Police for drug possession.
The driver was taken into custody after police say he attempted to evade them during a routine tour of SM 516. The taxi unit was pulled over and marked for inspection. Police report finding a total of 49 street doses of varying drugs that included crack, marijuana and cocaine.
Taken into custody was 46-year-old Francisco N. His taxi was also seized and transferred to police facilities.
