Cancun, Q.R. — Police say a male, who is believed responsible for more than 40 area robberies, has been arrested in SM 232 of Cancun.
The male, identified as 25-year-old Jorge D.V. from Comalcalco, Tabasco, was taken into police custody Friday after he was spotted on city surveillance cameras, allowing police to move in on him. Upon the time of his arrest, the subject was noted carrying a knife and plastic gun-type of toy.
He was arrested in the Rancho Viejo subdivision of Cancun at 5:30 p.m. and transferred to the facilities of the Public Ministry for processing.
