Cancun, Q.R. — A Cancun police unit was heavily damaged after the officer driving it hit a city pole. On Monday night, three officers inside the unit were assessed by medical personnel but released unharmed after the SM 3 accident.
The unit, which belonged to the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC), was reportedly being driven as excessive speed by 39-year-old Victor “A” when the mishap occurred.
Other police units and the fire department were sent to the Bonampak Avenue scene where CFE personnel were also eventually called in to repair the broken concrete pole.
