Riviera Maya, Q.R — The body of a Tulum taxi driver has been found along a section of highway in the municipality of Solidaridad. The body was located Sunday near Xpu-Ha, south of Puerto Aventuras.
The finding of the body was made around 3:00 p.m. by motorists who were accessing a nearby dirt road. The taxi driver was reportedly shot to death inside his cab, but moved to another location along the highway.
Authorities located the cab and driver separately. The body was found dumped in highway vegetation approximately seven kilometers from his taxi. The victim’s name has not been released.
