Ciudad Madero, Tamaulipas — Beachgoers on Playa Miramar in Cuidad Madero were witness to an unusual shelf cloud that arrived over the sea. On Thursday, the impressive cloud surprised people along the coast.
Although it could be seen from many areas, it was most visible at Playa Miramar.
According to the State Civil Protection, it is a rare event which occurs after the mixture of currents when the cold air descends and collides with the warm air. Shortly after it formed, the area was drenched with winds and heavy rainfall.
