Tulum, Q.R. — Due to the increase in tourists along Tulum beaches, security patrols have also increased. The Ministry of Public Security (SSP) says they have created a surveillance operation on the beaches of Tulum in collaboration with the Coordination Group for the Construction of Peace and Security in Quintana Roo.
In a statement, they indicated that the objective of this operation is to maintain public order, preserve peace and security in the beach areas.
The state corporation specified that during these operations they collaborate with the Secretary of the Navy (SEMAR) to carry out foot-land tours on the beaches of Tábano to the Mayan Arch of the tourist destination.
They added that during these tours, security agents monitor the entire perimeter to prevent and detect illegal actions, in addition to applying social proximity with national and international citizens and tourists. The SSP said that the operations in Tulum will be constant during all tourist seasons.
