Puerto Libertad, Sonora — Authorities found approximately 300 kilograms of fentanyl in a truck transporting coconuts. The weekend discovery of the drug took place in section 26 of the Puerto Libertad highway.
Elements of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), attached to the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC), seized the 300 kilograms of fentanyl after locating the bags of the drug stuffed inside coconut shells.
In their report, the FGR did not provide information as to why the vehicle was stopped. They did report that two men were taken into custody for transporting the drug.
