Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Municipal Police agents of Playa del Carmen were successful in capturing one of two armed men from a vehicle believed used in a robbery.
His arrest took place after police were alerted to the presence of a suspicious vehicle allegedly used in a robbery. Once the men inside the car caught sight of police, the driver of the car fled full speed along Avenida Juárez.
Police chased the vehicle to Avenida 85, where the pair ditched the car and attempted to make their getaway on foot. One of the men broke the front glass door of an office building and escaped, while the second man ran to Calle 2 where he drew a firearm. However, realizing he was surrounded by police, he surrendered.
