Riviera Maya, Q.R. — Convenience store chain 7-Eleven is planning an expansion in the southern region of the state. Deputy María José Osorio Rosas says the store is planning to open eight new locations in coming months.
The Deputy, who presides over the Planning and Economic Development Commission of the XVIII Legislature, says the new stores will be opened in Chetumal and Bacalar.
Osorio Rosas said that the international chain of 7-Eleven convenience stores will expand its presence in the south of Quintana Roo with the opening of five new branches in Chetumal and three in Bacalar.

In addition to providing greater convenience for consumers and generating jobs, these stores will be a key showcase for Made in Quintana Roo (Hecho En Quintana Roo) products, allowing local entrepreneurs to expand their market, she said.
Osorio Rosas explained that there are agreements for local products to be marketed in state convenience and department stores such as Liverpool and 7-Eleven, which significantly expands visibility and sales opportunities.
She explained that the Made in Quintana Roo brand brings together entrepreneurs who have registered their products to obtain the distinctive Hecho En Quintana Roo logo and boost sales.

She mentioned that the Secretariat of Economic Development offers advice to producers interested in obtaining this certification and expanding their points of sale. She said they will continue working with Economic Development to open more doors to local products in different commercial chains and continue attracting investments to Quintana Roo.
Last year, Hecho En Quintana Roo teamed up with Amazon Mexico to promote and sell state-made products.
