Jalisco kidnapping and murder suspect arrested inside Cancun airport from international flight

Cancun, Q.R. — A suspect in the murder of a Jalisco man has been arrested inside the Cancun International airport. José Juan “N” was taken into legal custody by National Guard Wednesday night for his alleged participation in the July 19 murder.

His arrest came approximately one month after a young Jalisco man was kidnapped and killed. The state prosecutor’s office of Jalisco confirmed the arrest of José Juan “N” through an inter-institutional operation involving National Guard and the Attorney General’s Office.

José Juan “N” was wanted for aggravated homicide and disappearance of persons.

According to the Jalisco investigation, on July 19, the victim was at a home in the Guadalajara metropolitan area with two people, one of whom was José Juan “N”. After an argument, José Juan “N” allegedly shot the young man, killing him at the scene.

Later, with the help of another companion, he reportedly transported the body to the municipality of El Salto where it was found on July 27. José Juan “N” immediately left Mexico for Colombia.

Authorities tracking the movements of José Juan “N” were notified of his August 20 arrival at the Cancun airport from an international flight arriving from Colombia. He was arrested inside the airport and transferred to Jalisco where he will face charges.
