Cancun, Q.R. — Cancun firemen used the jaws of life to cut a driver free from a vehicle Friday. A multi-vehicle crash in SM 249 left the driver of one involved car dead.

The accident happened Friday afternoon in Arco Vial between several vehciles, which, according to Cancun firemen, killed one driver. The man was found trapped behind the wheel of his car. Cancun firmen say he was dead “at the time of intervention”.
“On Friday afternoon through an emergency call received via C5-911, a serious vehicle accident was reported in Superblock 249, Arco Vial. Upon arriving at the scene, Cancun Fire Department personnel confirmed the involvement of several vehicles in the accident.
“During the response, it was necessary to perform rescue maneuvers and vehicle extraction using specialized hydraulic tools, as a male individual remained trapped inside a vehicle.

“Unfortunately, at the time of the intervention, the individual was no longer showing vital signs. After the corresponding procedures, he was freed and handed over to forensic authorities for the due process,” Bomberos Cancun reported.
