14 new patrol units delivered to Cozumel

Cozumel, Q.R. — Municipal President, Pedro Joaquín Delbouis, delivered 14 new hybrid patrol cars to the Directorate of Public Safety and Traffic of Cozumel, which he says, will help strengthen security.

With a 7 percent reduction in crime rates, the mayor presented the new cars, attributing the advances in security to coordinated work with the Armed Forces, the State Government and the presence of the National Guard.

“I want to make clear the commitment we have with the colonies with the highest crime incidences. This administration does not shy away from problems, does not come to manage problems, but comes to confront them.

“Today we come not with words, or beautiful speeches as was done before, but with concrete actions so that citizens can see that public resources are going where they are asking them to go,” said Pedro Joaquin.
