Mexico City, Mexico — Two men wanted in U.S. courtrooms for sex crimes have been extradited from Mexico. On Friday, the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) of Mexico reported on the extradition of Gerardo “R” who was wanted by the Circuit Court of Washington County, State of Oregon, for sexual crimes.
According to the FGR, he sexually abused a minor and went to prison for his crime, however, he paid bail and left prison to flee to Mexico. In April, he was arrested in Morelia, Michoacán. Subsequently, the FGR took the necessary steps for the Government of Mexico to grant extradition to the United States.
Jorge “R”, who has been wanted by the Superior Court of the State of California, Riverside County, was also extradited Friday. Jorge “R” was handed over to U.S. federal marshalls and returned to California to face sexual abuse charges.
According to the FGR, Jorge “R” is also facing charges of sexual abuse against a minor. He was arrested in April of this year in Sayulita, Nayarit and was later granted extradition to the U. S.
