Tulum, Q.R. — A construction worker was rushed to hospital Thursday after being burned by an electrical shock. The 31-year-old man was on the second level of a home performing masonry work when he accidentally came into contact with a set of low lying cables.
The set of low cables were hanging directly in front of the area where a second level addition was being added to a private home.
Emergency personnel were called to an address on Jupiter Street when worker Ricardo Poot was electrocuted. Tulum firemen assisted in the removal of the man from the second level of the under construction home.
He was lowered from the roof on a stretcher by firemen and taken to hospital by ambulance with second and third degree burns to 20 percent of his body.
