Cozumel, Q.R. — A shooting in an alleged drug house in San Miguel killed one and injured two others. On Sunday evening, police were sent to a building on 29th Street after 911 reports of gunfire.
At the scene, island officers found three shot men laying on the floor inside the house. One was pronounced dead by responding paramedics, while the other two were transferred to hospital. One male was treated for a shot to the leg and the other, a shot to the abdomen. The deceased male had been shot in the head.
The shooting happened in the residential area of San Miguel II around 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Municipal Police and military swarmed the area after neighbors reported hearing nearly a dozen gun shots inside what they referred to as, a known drug store for the past three years, where they said a variety of addicts frequented.
