Riviera Maya, Q.R. — The body of a man has been found south of Playa del Carmen. The discovery was made along a section of highway approximately 8 kilometers from the city.
The body was located in the early afternoon in highway weeds between Punta Venado and Paamul. The discovery is being treated as a homicide. The dead body was noticed by passing State Police officers.
Officers requested the intervention of the Ministerial Investigation Police of the State Attorney General’s Office. Early reports say the body was found with several bullet wounds and was dumped just off the highway.
