Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — Police were alerted to the discovery of a body in a well in the municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto. The body was found Tuesday evening on a private ranch.
Felipe Carrillo Puerto firemen were brought in to help retrieve the body from the bottom of the well. Initially, authorities were responding to the report of one body inside the well, however, firemen located a second dead body.
It took several hours for the first body to be brought to the surface. As firemen were removing the first body, they located the second body at the bottom of the well. It was well into nighttime before both were surfaced.
According to reports, the bodies were of an adult man and woman. Both are reported to have been shot. They were found dumped in a well on a private ranch off the Federal 307 highway in the municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto.
Police have not made a public comment on the discovery. It is not known if the bodies belong to any of the people listed as missing across the state.
