Cancun, Q.R. — A suspect wanted in Cancun on human trafficking charges in the form of prostitution has been captured in Tabasco. On Sunday, Javier “N” was taken into custody in the city of Villahermosa by the FGE of Tabasco.
According to the FGE of Quintana Roo, Javier “N” allegedly threat-forced a woman to provide sexual services and give him the money she received for that work.
Javier “N” was picked up by the FGE of Tabasco on an outstanding arrest warrant “for his alleged relationship in events possibly constituting the crime of human trafficking in their form of foreign prostitution,” the agency reported.
Javier “N” is related to events that occurred starting in 2013, when he met the victim with whom he had a romantic relationship and later forced her to work providing sexual services first in Villahermosa, Tabasco and later in Cancun, the FGE explained.
Javier “N” threatened the victim so that she would agree to provide sexual services and give him all the money she received for this work. Likewise, he demanded a certain daily amount from her. If she did not deliver it, he would beat her, they added in a statement.
According to the FGE of Quintana Roo, in addition to the victim, the now detained man has other women working in the provision of sexual services to give him the money they receive.
After the complaint was filed and the investigation work carried out, Javier “N” was located in Villahermosa, Tabasco with the support of the Prosecutor’s Office of that state and his arrest was carried out.
Once captured, Javier “N” was handed over to elements of the Investigative Police, who transferred him to Cancun.
