Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Firemen in Playa del Carmen responded to an emergency call after a four-level apartment building located in the first square of the city caught fire. The building, which is located along 3rd Street, was reported burning Wednesday afternoon.
Firemen arrived and evacuated the building, while paramedics treated the injured including one man who was diagnosed with second degree burns. He was taken to hospital. The injured man was a tenant of the building.
Aside from shaken nerves, no other injuries were reported. There was no official word on the cause of the fire.
