Cozumel, Q.R. — A Cozumel motorcycle driver was seriously injured Thursday after colliding with a car. Numerous sidewalk witnesses watched as the driver of the bike continued through a marked intersection Thursday night.
Cozumel authorities found the injured motorcycle driver laying on the road with a severely broken ankle among other injuries. Witnesses to the 8:00 p.m. mishap detailed that the driver of the motorcycle failed to stop at a stop sign and was hit and dragged by the car he collided with.
The windshield of the car was totaled on the driver’s side due to the impact. The accident was reported along 30th Avenue where firemen were requested to assist in fluid clean up due to the extent of damage. Paramedics transferred the injured man to Cozumel hospital.
