Cozumel, Q.R. — Another sack of what has turned out to be cocaine, was found washed up on a Cozumel beach. On Monday, patrolling military stumbled upon the large wrapped sack.
Members of the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) proceeded to seize the sack which contained 25 bricks of cocaine inside. The sack was located on the northeast coast Monday afternoon. It was found washed up on a sandy area of the beach.
It is one of more than 200 found washed up along Quintana Roo beaches in the past two months. Most have been found entangled in washed up sargassum along the beach areas mainly in the center of the state. The sack was transferred to the FGE facilities of Cancun.
