Mexico’s Navy secures 2,000 kilos of cocaine off coast of Oaxaca

Oaxaca, Mexico — The Secretary of the Navy reports naval personnel managed to secure approximately 2,000 kilograms of cocaine on the coast of Oaxaca.

The seizure was carried out late last week when naval personnel became aware of unusual activities within their zone.

The deployment of specialized personnel on board air and surface units was ordered, which lead to the discovery and subsequent seizure of of two smaller vessels and approximately 2,000 kilograms of cocaine as well as the arrests of 12 people.
