Mexican sent to Argentina to face criminal drug, laundering and association charges

Mexico City, Mexico — In compliance with the Extradition Treaty signed between Mexico and the Argentine Republic, the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) extradited a person of Mexican nationality to that country.

The FGR reported that Oscar “F” was required by the National Federal Criminal and Correctional Court of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Argentina, for the crimes of illicit association, laundering of criminal assets and illegal drug trafficking.

From 2005 to 2009, Oscar “F” was part of a criminal organization that illegally marketed ephedrine hydrochloride. The defendant was in charge of the administration of a hotel that was used for the development of the operations of the criminal organization.

The Government of Mexico granted the extradition of the defendant to the Government of Argentina. He was handed over to Argentine police agents from the Mexico City International Airport for his transfer to face charges.
