Mexico City, Mexico — Mexico’s Ministry of Economy organized an official delegation of Mexican startups in Vancouver, British Columbia. The startups were presented at Web Summit 2025, the world’s largest technology conference, held in North America for the first time.

From May 27 to 30, the Mexican delegation participated in the international forum which brought together more than 1,500 startups and 700 investment funds from around the world, providing strategic opportunities for networking, business connections, and attracting capital.
As part of the mission, Jesús Valdés, head of Economic Promotion Abroad at the Ministry of Economy, presented Plan México and the “Made in Mexico” brand to business leaders, officials and key stakeholders in British Columbia’s economic ecosystem.
As part of the institutional agenda, the representative held bilateral meetings with British Columbia’s Minister of Employment, Economic Development, and Innovation, Diana Gibson, and with the Minister of State for Trade, Rick Glumac, to explore a trade mission for Canadian companies to Mexico this year.

The Mexican delegation also held high-level meetings with leading companies based in British Columbia, such as Lululemon, Telus, TC Energy and others. At the same time, the Mexican startups presented their business models to investors, accelerators, and key institutions in the Canadian province.
With this initiative, the Ministry of Economy reaffirms its commitment to promoting Mexican entrepreneurial talent internationally, strengthening economic ties with Canada, and promoting innovation under the “Made in Mexico” label.

The delegation is made up of the following Mexican startups: Auditionify, Jaak, AMAIA, AIDA, Taskility, DataInt, Platica, Polisplexity, Econsciousness, Noor Telecom and Holistia.
