Cozumel, Q.R. — Elements of the Cozumel Fire Department attended to a weekend fire at El Tatich restaurant in Colonia Maravilla. The fire consumed a large part of the restaurant’s palapa roof.
The fire 5:00 a.m. happened Saturday. Owners of the restaurant arrived at the site saying they have all the necessary measures in place to prevent mishaps of that magnitude.
The area was cordoned off pending a Civil Protection investigation, which began Sunday. An assessment of damages and the cause of the fire have not yet been released.
