Cozumel, Q.R. — Cozumel police responding to the report of an illegal island party found 19 minors at the scene. The Municipal Police of Cozumel responded to an emergency 9-1-1 call about a clandestine party on the Transversal highway around 4:00 a.m.
Once at the area of Marilú, party goers refused to allow police access, who called in reinforcement. Municipal personnel along with elements from the National Guard and the Navy were called to the scene where the owner of the property then authorized entry.
Inside, police located a large group of drinkers that include 19 underage minors. Seven adults from inside the property were taken into custody “for not complying with any order from the Public Security elements,” Cozumel Police reported in their statement.
