Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — Early Monday morning, authorities sent to the scene of a possible body on a highway located a deceased man. The man, who was reported by passing motorists, was found laying on the side of the highway.
He is believed to have been killed in a hit and run.
According to preliminary information, the man was hit by a vehicle at an intersection along the Agrarian Reform-Puerto Juárez highway in Felipe Carrillo Puerto. Several motorists reported seeing the body.
The National Guard Road Division also arrived to divert traffic while authorities dealt with the scene. The man has not been identified.
