Civil Protection captures roaming boa in Holbox

Holbox, Q.R. — Personnel from the Ministry of Public Security and Civil Protection captured a roaming snake called in by Holbox residents. A homeowner in the residential area of Motul made the call for assistance after the large reptile was seen slithering across his yard.

By the time help arrived, the 2.5-meter-long Boa had made its way across the street. It was finally captured on the property of an island restaurant on Jerónimo Aguilar street. Once captured, they noticed a large bulge in the snake. Assuming it had just eaten, the reptile was caged and relocated to the Chiquilá Continental Zone.
