Riviera Maya, Q.R. — A combination of speed and wet roads have been factored into a highway accident outside Xpu-Ha. The driver of a compact car totaled her vehicle after slamming into a retaining wall Wednesday.
The woamn was heading toward Playa del Carmen when she lost control of her vehicle. In an attempt to correct, she veered off the highway where she eventually come to a stop against a concrete wall.
The woman was visibly shaken by the accident and was treated at the scene for injuries received before being transferred to Playa del Carmen hospital. Her totaled car was towed from the scene.
