Cancun, Q.R. — A Cancun taxi driver died behind the wheel of his car Sunday after crashing into the back of a truck. Witnesses reported the accident to police around 9:00 p.m. after seeing the taxi driver hit the back of the pickup.
Police found the two-vehicle accident scene along a section of José López Portillo Avenue in SM 91. After police arrived, witnesses who went to help the taxi driver told police he said he was tired and not feeling well before passing out.
Paramedics pronounced the taxi driver dead at the scene. It is not clear if the Cancun driver died from injuries sustained in the accident or a from a medical condition.
