Bodies found in cenote after arrests of Cancun gang members

Cancun, Q.R. — Three bodies have been confirmed found in a makeshift grave in the outskirts of Cancun. The discovery was made early Friday in the Alfredo V. Bonfil suburb of the city.

Ministerial Police were seen on a property on Serapio Flota Mass Street where the bodies were found. The three unidentified bodies were located after the recent arrest of several criminal gang members lead police to the site.

Those arrested are believed part of an ongoing murder investigation and are reported to have been the location source for police.

Cancun firemen were requested to retrieve the bodies since they were located in a cenote. Canine units were brought in to search for other bodies.
