Cancun, Q.R. — A woman who was driving a vehicle hit by a taxi, was transferred to Cancun hospital Wednesday. Police and paramedics were on scene for the midnight accident that left the woman’s vehicle toppled.
Authorities responded to the nighttime collision at the intersection of Avenues Av. Francisco I. Madero with Lombardo Toledano where they found her SUV on its roof.
Witnesses reported seeing the woman stopped at the intersection, waiting for a green light. When the light changed, she began to enter the intersection which is when she was broadsided by the oncoming taxi.
The woman was helped out of her upside down vehicle by area residents who heard the crash. She was transferred to hospital with undisclosed injuries. Both vehicles were towed to the coral.
